My weekend was refreshing! I had an amazing date with my husband on Saturday! We went to the local museum, to coffee, then decided to go to the market to buy whatever looked fresh for dinner. When dinner was finished we watched Love’s Kitchen, a great foreign film. What a fabulous date full of culture and fun! Going to the museum first gave us plenty to talk about over coffee. While we sat enjoying our brew we talked about the exhibit we went to and how it inspired us. It was unlike most of our dates. Usually we go to dinner and chat about daily life. This time was different, quite refreshing! Our admiration and appreciation of each other grew! In fact today I texted him and thanked him for making coffee this morning. He makes coffee every morning but I never think about thanking him because I am used to it. The time together reminded us how important we both are to each other. Diving into culture also helped me to feel like a sophisticated adult! It felt so New Yorkish! I crave that kind of time and enjoyment. It inspires me to come back to my cherished reality with a new perspective and happiness.
You may have noticed that I did not post a meal plan for the week. My meal plan this week was not planned at all! While hubs and I were at the market, on our date, I decided to stock up on food for the week. I did not have a list together so I grabbed what looked good and stayed within the food budget. I love a meal plan challenge! It forces me to use my creativity and make my own meals and recipes up. I’ll try to get a post up around the end of the week of what I ended up creating on the fly! One recipe you will want to come back for is the dinner hubs and I created Saturday night. We named it the 10 Mmminute Burger! OH this burger was sooo fabulous! I cannot stop thinking about how amazing this meal turned out! I’ll share it with you soon!
Local culture is fun because it creates appreciation for what is around you which in turn gives you more to talk about with your lover. What kind of date could you do with your Love to re-connect to each other and the culture around you?
