Here is what’s on the menu at my house this week. First I wanted to tell you about the new title, I needed a better title then “Meal Plan”. I will start pinning my recipes on the Strive For Progress pinboard soon. I wanted the titles to match so the new title for the meal plans will be “Crave Food” and I will add a sub-title that will sum up the theme for the weeks meals, sound fun?! I thought so! The reason I tell you this is so that if you decide to use a recipe or three from the blog you can remember the sub-title for searching the blog to find the recipe. Here is my meal plan for the week. This week I was feeling a bit un-inspired when it came down to planning the meals. Inspired or not a family has to eat so I sat down and forced myself to start searching for ideas. I am please with what I came up with although my lunches are a bit repetitive and boring this week, what do you do for lunch? If you read my last menu plan you will see that this week I have the Honey-Mustard Chicken on the menu again. I forgot to thaw the bird so it is sitting happily in my fridge “warming” up for tomorrows sauna date in the crockpot!
I am really looking forward to that and the roast veggies that will go with it! This weeks trip to the store buying all organic cost $180, not bad! Anytime I am under $200 I am ecstatic! YAY! Also I signed up for a CSA today, I will be talking about Farmers Markets, CSA’s and other sources of fresh veggies on Tuesday, don’t miss it!
Please remember to click the blue words to be linked to the recipe sources, lets give credit where credit is due!
Alright let the mouth watering begin!!!
Favorite Meal of Last Week…

Sunday
- Breakfast – Oatmeal
- Lunch - Daddy took the kids out for lunch, I had a smoothie, love me some chocolate Shakeology!
- Dinner – Waffles
Monday
- Breakfast – Leftover waffles
- Lunch – Smoothies
- Dinner - Honey – Mustard Chicken (I toss it in the crock on low for 6-8 hours, it smells up the house REALLY nice!), I will also roast some root veggies (cut up some parsnips, beets, carrots and maybe an onion, into 1/2 inch pieces, drizzle with oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, place on middle rack under and bake 375 for about 30-45 mins, be sure to toss every 15 mins and check to see if done). You could skip the baking step all together and just throw the veggies that will fit in with the chicken but be sure to oil and season the veggies first
