So we are preparing for a trip and things have gotten a bit crazy around here. Packing for five people including a baby for a long road trip is quite the adventure. It hasn’t given me much blogging or reading time, please forgive me for that. Because I haven’t had a lot of reading time I decided this months give away is…

My best kid traveling tip is to BE PATIENT! Take lots of breaks and remember that they’re little.

Then, I have a fun tip that you might not have used recently. I bring a cookie sheet for each kid, and a bag of magnets. It’s fun to play on the magnetic surface, and if they get really bored they can even color on it.

    Enjoy your trip!!

  3. Chex mix!!! Keeps Stella entertained! Also the dvd player with fun interactive videos. Lots of stops and sight seeing along the way. Oh and packing a zee zee and Stella for entertainment helps too. Hehehehehe

  4. Remembering that they need exercise time is something we try to do. We like to stop at outside historical spots or mini hiking, walking trails or parks.

Ok Uncle Dan says the best travel tip is to give them sleeping pills…lol im serious he actually told us to do that! haha but really the best travel tip i can give you is drive as fast as possible as get your buns down here to see me!! LOVE YOU!! :)

  6. I hope your trip is wonderful! I don’t have lots of great tips. But I do know that Sesame Street’s app for our Droid phones has saved us numerous times. We also downloaded clips to our phone for when we have no signal. Elmo and Grover to the rescue! Even one short clip is usually enough to prevent a meltdown. Of course your kids may not be into Sesame. :o )

  7. when we went to Wisconsin, I just packed a backpack for Carlee with a few new things: crayon roll and notebook I embellished with her fave princess, new book (it was a book on cd and I uploaded the cd to my phone), plus fave blanket and baby doll. Don’t forget the nursing cover for the plane. It was key for takeoff and landing for Lia. And bring lollipops for the kids’ ears (the doc or dentist has sugar free ones)
