Recipe: Mae’s Peppermint Chocolate Candy Cane Cookies…

Make your favorite sugar cookie dough, add peppermint oil to it, divide the dough in half, use red food coloring to color half red (keep half white). Roll out thin long pieces about 6-7 in long from each color.  Take one of each color and twist them together, shape a cane. Bake according to your cookie dough recipe. Once cookies are cooled dip the bottom ends into melted chocolate and shake assorted Christmas shaped and colored sprinkles over chocolate. Stick in freezer till chocolate has hardened. Once hardened eat! YUM!!!

Merry Christmas!

  1. I think it’s a good thing to be too busy living real life to be blogging away in virtual land. Exactly how it should be. I’m so happy I discovered your mom’s blog in your blogroll tonight. I was going to ask you to post her elderberry syrup recipe again, since I didn’t save it when you shared it on FB last year. Hooray! Now I can make some.

Wishing you and your lovely family a most wonderful and blessed Christmas filled with the joy of salvation and filled with delicious food and fellowship.

Lots of love from all the Ofisas!

    • Thank you Tara! I have been struggling with the blog. I have been wanting to write soo badly but have just had to much going on. I really am hoping that someday I will have the ability to be consistent. That is my biggest downfall. I have an announcement I want to make on my blogs one year anniversary but I have to be sure I am ready for it. It’s very discouraging to have the passion of writing and not sure exactly where to put my energy. This is all good tho because my battle within works very well as a topic for my blog considering I am striving for progress not perfection. I have had a very heavy weight on my heart to sit down and pound out a few posts but just haven’t had the time. I will soon get there. Soon, soon. Thank you for the love, encouragement and greetings. Love you dear friend! :)
