Disconnection happens to EVERYONE at some point or another we feel a bit unfocused, fuzzy headed, lost, and off track.
The crazy part is that it can hit you from out of nowhere…
You may have been trucking, doing your thing, in your groove and then BAM you wake up one morning feeling like the world is against you, it’s hard to get out of bed, and you just want to hibernate for the next three months…
If you happen to be in one of these moments then, first of all, recognize it as just that, it’s a moment. It will pass.
Second, look at what’s going on around you. Have you been so focused on your work that you’ve forgotten to take a break and recharge?
When I say recharge, I don’t mean working on the weekend and just hanging out, running errands, etc..
When was the last time you got out into nature? Got grounded, and allowed God’s creation to rejuvenate you?
Well, I urge you today to look at your schedule and plan some time outside. Getting outside will help you re-charge, get focus, find inspiration and energize you!
It’s time to take your head out of your work and stick it in the clouds! Here are my three favorite ways to get re-connected!
Three simple and fun ways to get re-connected and inspired with your purpose!
Put your feet in the grass (or dirt, or sand).
It’s timed to get grounded! Literally! Putting your bare feet on the ground helps you recharge, clear your mind, and overall balances our bodies.
Get grounded, and you will feel better, more energized and focused. Works everytime for me.
One trusted and an excellent resource to start learning more about grounding is an article from Wellness Mama Click Here to see it.
Get out on a hike.
Hiking has a lot of the same reasons as putting your feet on the ground but the other reasons this is so beneficial are some obvious reasons, exercise, fresh air, and being in God’s creation will inspire you!
There is no better way to get connected to God than to go out and listen to his birds, hear the water, see the beautiful color and breath his sweet air; this is sensory overload in a good way!
You’ll be motivated, feel more connected to God and if you go with your family, you are spending quality time with them. It’s such a win win win. The hills are calling, go to them! Bonus points if you find a stream and get your bare feet onto some boulders and into cool water.
Take a solo trip to the park.
So many great things can happen with you are alone with God and your thoughts out in nature!
Take a notebook, your Bible and yourself solo to a nearby park. You’ll get out into nature, get grounded if you sit on the ground and touch the earth, and journal!
This idea from Joanna Gaines from her and her husband Chip’s book The Magnolia Story. She said she went to a park, sat journaled and got inspired by God for her next project. It was amazing. Try it!
Right now either sit outside and put your bare feet on the earth or schedule some time to get out and get re-connect with God in his creation. Tell me in the comments below what you plan on doing! 🙂
