Let’s talk about that moment in life where you just KNOW you’ve figured it all out.
When “it” just clicks and you know that the next step in your life is going to be the right step.
When God finally opens your eyes up to what he wants you to do!
Your purpose. Your calling!
Okay, let’s just stop right there…
Do you think that there is ONE thing that you are supposed to be doing? That you only have one purpose on this earth?
You see I thought that way. I mean I knew my first priority was to be a wife and mama. And that was one of my God-given purposes.
Yet… I also knew there was something else I was supposed to do. I just didn’t know what. So I threw myself into anything that I thought would be fun or make money.
The problem was, I was trying different businesses for me, not for God. I was seeking pleasure, not purpose. This lead me to many frustrating dead ends. My business life was becoming exasperating!
Here is the kicker though, I thought what I was working on was for God. The work I was doing would help people, others were doing similar things with great success. So why wasn’t it working for me?
Have you been working so hard, so long, so tirelessly on your business, on your home, in a ministry? Yet nothing is happening?
Warning! The enemy will disguise things that look good, things that even help people, things that are working for others to trick you and make you think you need to do that too! You see the success of others and try to achieve that for yourself.
How did I figure out what I was doing was for me and not God?
Time with God, praying, reading and journaling helped me. Also talking with trusted, Christian friends and business coaches revealed that what I was doing was not filling me with passion, it was depleting me, filling me with anxiety and frustration.
The message that was becoming very clear was…
When you are doing what God wants you to do things start to become a bit easier, “doors” open up and you can breathe again!
If you are struggling with what your purpose is and why things aren’t working…
Ask God, he will help you discover what it is HE wants you to do when you discover what HIS dreams and desires and plans for your life are; you will light up!
You will wake up excited. You will be passionate. You will feel sweet release from the chains of frustration. The wall that’s been blocking you for so long will finally crumble because God will allow it too.
The moment you just know that you’ve figured out your purpose, your ministry, your thing that God wants you to put your energy into is so amazing!
When you are doing what you are supposed to do, things just click.
NO, it doesn’t mean that life is going to be easy. It doesn’t mean that success is right around the corner. Walking in your purpose does not mean life will be automatically easy. You WILL face challenges as God is always refining you and building your character through the process, but there’s a peace that remains deep down in your soul as you continue on your journey.
When things click you’ll feel the grip God has on your heart; He’s now in control and can lead you to the next place. The better place. He will use you to help others turn their lights on for God, help them find their purpose, help them find their way.
The moment you figure out what God wants from you, what He wants you to do… it’s just beautiful.
Attention! Your calling can and may change with each season of your life. What you are supposed to do right no may not be what you are supposed to be doing next week, year in 10 years! One thing that is certain, put your hand into Gods and he will lead you wherever you are in your life.
Pray, if you are stuck. Pray. Stop seeing what YOU want. Seek what God wants for you.
Please help the amazing, beautiful Mama who is reading this right now to hear your voice and your calling for her.
Lord your will, not hers. Your dreams, not hers. Fill her with your passion, your love, your light.
Use her as a tool to share your light with others; that they will find you through her. Strip her of her earthly desires, fill her with your Spirit, your wishes.
Help her to see that what you want for her is so, SO much better than what this world can offer. Hold, her, speak to her, and open her eyes, ears, and heart to what it is you are trying to say.
Thank you, Jesus. In your precious name, Amen.
